Each year, The joe gardener® Company
spends countless hours scouring the country looking for The Coolest
Garden Gear and Gadgets for the New Year to reveal at the largest
national garden and flower shows. Those that are selected are awarded
the distinction as THE BEST OF THE MUST-HAVES. These products aren’t
just “good enough.” They’re the best, most unique, highest quality
gardening products we feel gardeners should own.
And we should know. Joe Lamp’l, national gardening television
personality, author, Master Gardener, Certified Landscape Professional
and the founder of The joe gardener Company, leads our team of
testers. It also includes veteran Master Gardeners, intermediate,
novice and beginning gardeners. We want to be sure a product that
makes the list has been looked at from every level and perspective.
Hundreds of products are considered. Many are eliminated at the
initial review. Those that merit further attention are included in the
evaluation process. As soon as a product fails to meet our criteria,
it is eliminated from further consideration.
The goal each year is to arrive at the very best products. Our
target is to bring to light only the top 10 products. Occasionally,
there may be one or two that makes an encore performance. These are
our “Hall of Famers” and worthy of additional mention as we’ve yet to
find a formidable replacement. These products still deserve to be in
the spotlight for the unique benefit they offer gardeners.
